Combating polarization through cooperation

The Cooperation Game is an innovative online quiz game designed to defuse partisan animosity.

About the Game

The Cooperation Game was developed by Harvard researchers to promote mutual respect and goodwill across the political divide. Using an engaging quiz game, we bring people from opposing political tribes together as partners. Players learn to trust each other and that neither side has a monopoly on truth.

Vision

We envision a more united and cohesive society where political differences are pathways to cooperation, rather than insurmountable barriers.

Mission

Through experiences that are both illuminating and fun, the Cooperation Game’s mission is to renew our respect for each other and for our shared democratic ideals.

About the Team

The Cooperation Game builds on innovative research at Harvard University led by Professor Joshua D. Greene. Scott Warren, the founder and former CEO of Generation Citizen, and a current Fellow at the SNF Agora Institute at Johns Hopkins, serves as The Cooperation Game’s Interim CEO and brings his passion for political engagement and civic participation to the organization. The effort is being incubated by the Global Development Incubator (GDI).
